Indices WineDex : stability in June, + 8.21% since the beginning of the year

The indices of WineDex iDealwine remained nearly stable during the month of June 2012. Burgundy wines are still sought, but there are also the comeback of the great names of the Rhone Valley.

Unsurprisingly, June, placing on the center stage of the market futures, is traditionally quiet on the front of wine auctions. And, although we think the value of Bordeaux 2011, This year was no exception to the rule.

On clues WineDex sont restés pratiquement stables au cours du mois de juin 2012 : the WineDex 100 last month recorded a slight increase, +0.69%. The Bordeaux continue the movement correction hired for a year (-0.33% in June). The great wines of Burgundy continue to increase growth in the general index (+0.93%). Always wanted by fans, the great French pinot noir and chardonnay were well appreciated 14.41% since the beginning of the year 2012. Some signatures found in the index basket WineDex Burgundy are now particularly speculative. It is currently the case of wines from the fields of Romanee Conti and Leroy.

Note that these are the wines of the Rhone Valley in June that marked the best performance (+1.88%). Over one year, the increase was even 9.33%. We see the market come back vintages that fans sulked for many months, buyer interest is mainly focused on a few references of the greatest wines of Bordeaux. The great names of Cote Rotie and Hermitage, and the special wines of Chateauneuf du Pape could benefit, in the coming months, a comeback of wines from this region with their clients historic (Europe, USA), but also the emergence of new markets, particularly in Asia.
