When you love Fine wines northern Rhone and we do not want to endanger its budget, names Crozes-Hermitage and St. Joseph are especially recommended. And with names like Graillot, Combier and Coursodon on the label, one is sure to get it right !
The Crozes-Hermitage from field Graillot are, many years, standard quality of the appellation. Wines forthright, no makeup, a beautiful purity, and that fresh blood makes them ideal companions table. Its St. Joseph, in the same spirit, Perhaps even more mineral, is a wine not to miss ! A must for any amateur field.
Another winemaker, other style. Laurent Combier vinifies also a majority of Crozes-hermitages and a batch of St. Joseph. Pioneer organic viticulture in the region (his father began the process in the years 1970), Laurent Combier produces the variety of the wine on the fruit, gourmet and tasty, an immediate seduction, whether his or her crozes St. Joseph. His great wine "Clos des Thrush" is a Crozes-Hermitage, which is not unique to tease away some of its neighbors in theHermitage !
The field Coursodon For its part, is only in St. Joseph. True reference of the name for over a hundred years, this family of winemakers has progress in its quality by planting vines on the slopes the steepest and most difficult to work. But, consequence of this work, beautiful red wines marked by their local and harmoniously as they age.
