Climates of Burgundy to contents of the magazine on FR3 Vintage Burgundy
Once a month, Sunday at 11:25, EN 3 Burgundy offers a magazine about wine. The fourth edition of the show called "Vintage" will be dedicated Sunday 8 January to the notion of "climate" in Burgundy.
The first two issues of this magazine were devoted to TV harvest then to vinification. Last month the documentary focused on the business merchant in Burgundy and the team Vintage had followed the Maison Albert Bichot, a major player in the local business.
For this new edition the magazine chose to focus on the climates of Burgundy.
What is a climate ? A climate, is a local, a plot of vine or closed, where it produces wines famous for centuries in an alchemy that makes a place interact, natural conditions, a grape, men or a history. This mosaic of soils that are the climates of Burgundy gives its authenticity and its magic.
This is an opportunity to recall that application was filed for these climates are classified as World Heritage by Unesco. The team Vintage will be up on this application with Aubert de Villaine (the steward of Domaine de la Romanée Conti), President of the association that this project application and will review the progress in this area.
The program also, a little history, to tell us how far removed precursors (men, of religious, scientists) have theorized the notion of climate there are already several centuries.
Then, another subject (a story in Switzerland vineyard Lavaux, Heritage by UNESCO in 2007) show that a classification does not necessarily preclude unfortunately the building construction side ...
The magazine will also initiate the study of soils, so important in characterizing this wine and with the assistance of a geologist.
Last, but not least,, this edition will be completed as usual by a tasting commented that this time will be devoted to a climate of Burgundy out of area classification possible, a climate of name Saint-Veran Saone-et-Loire.
An issue that should not be missed if you are in the diffusion zone !

Climates of Burgundy candidates for UNESCO heritage : the project that unifies all of Burgundy
